Kim Tae Hee transforms into a traditional Korean princess for “My Princess”

Actress Kim Tae Hee has transformed into a traditional Korean princess, as demonstrated by the still cuts revealed on December 21st from MBC’s “My Princess“.

The still cuts depict the scene of ‘Lee Seol” (Kim Tae Hee) working part-time as a fake princess in a traditional cultural event. ‘Lee Seol’, a penny-pinching college student, does anything and everything as long as it pays well. As luck would have it, a real foreign princess makes a visit to the scene, allowing ‘Lee Seol’ to gain a photoshoot experience with her.

Despite the blistering cold, Kim Tae Hee was said to have maintained her bright smile while holding up a wig weighing several pounds on her head.

Representatives of her agency commented, “Kim Tae Hee said she had a unique experience, as this was her first time filming in traditional garments. Although it was her first time, she pulled it off well and was satisfied with the scene.”

A representative of the wardrobe team added, “Because the story has her working only part-time in the costume, she wore an outfit that is actually a lot less extravagant than what real princesses would have worn. We’re planning on producing brighter, more impressive clothing for when she becomes a real princess later on in the story.”

Producers of the drama concluded, “Since she plays the role of Korea’s last princess, viewers will be able to see Kim Tae Hee donning a lot of traditional wear. It will be fun seeing her switch from western and traditional between each scene.”
