G★Star 2010 Video Goodness
I haven’t had time to look around for too many G★Star 2010 videos, so luckily Zealand13 linked me to a 14 min video that seems to cover a lot of girls. Feel free to leave other YouTube links of G★Star 2010 if you’d like to share any.
Most importantly at 9:03 mark, is the best girl at G★Star 2010 doing the cutest poses ever (although it would seem that about 85% of you would disagree). I would find it impossible to go to another booth if she was doing those poses all day…I would just set up a tripod and film her for as long as she stood there.
Thanks to Zealand13 for the tip.

Rain shows off his chic airport fashion
Singer and actor Rain recently showed off his chic yet casual style at an airport.
On November 27th at 11:30 AM, Rain appeared at China’s Baiyun International Airport in order to attend the 16th Guangzhou Asian Games closing ceremony performance.
Baiyun International Airport was filled with fans and reporters since the early morning when word got out that Rain was performing at the closing ceremony. When Rain appeared, the fans started screaming and raving for him.
On this day, Rain matched a simple white shirt with a black coat and jeans. On the surface, it seemed like a plain style, but hidden points drew attention. The perfectly popped up collar of his coat had military patterns, and his brand name white backpack gave a casual look to the rest of his outfit, which had the potential to look stiff.
When the stylish Rain appeared, excited reporters let their flashes go off, and there was overwhelming coverage of Rain’s airport fashion. The cute appearance of the backpack-wearing star walking quickly through the airport made him look like he was going on a field trip and caused his fans to laugh with amusement.
Rain later went on stage for the closing ceremony and confirmed his reputation as a Hallyu star by putting on extravagant performances of his hit songs “Rainism“, “Hip Song“, and “Friends“.

Super Junior’s Siwon doesn’t worry about comparisons to Big Bang’s T.O.P for ‘Athena’
Super Junior’s Siwon, who has been cast for the ‘IRIS‘ spin-off, titled ‘Athena: Goddess of War’, confessed that he is not worried about being compared with Big Bang’s T.O.P’s acting in ‘IRIS’.
During the press conference for the upcoming drama held earlier on November 30th, Choi Siwon expressed,
“Jung Woo Sun hyungnim said he does not stress about comparisons. I believe in that too, and I don’t think the actors of ‘IRIS’ will worry either.
The ‘IRIS’ actors received love because of their individual colors and charms. As T.O.P had a great impact in ‘IRIS’, I hope that my devotion in my role will also please the viewers.
In saying that, I don’t mean that I will definitely have an impact. I’ve never hoped to have an impact even when I’m on stage singing. Instead of working hard in order to shine, I find that working hard in the work you are given and the job you have is more important.”
Choi Siwon’s role in ‘Athena’ is as a new agent that just got employed by the investigation agency NTS, and his character is named Kim Joon Ho.
The drama is scheduled to broadcast its pilot episode this coming December 13th, following the finale of drama, ‘Giant‘.

JYPE explains miss A Min’s texting controversy on ‘Quiz to Change the World’
miss A’s Min is currently under fire for showing disrespectful behavior on a recent broadcast of MBC’s ‘Quiz to Change the World’.
In the episode, Min was spotted texting with her phone, legs crossed, while her senior was in the middle of speaking.
In response to the controversy, Min’s agency, JYP Entertainment, came forth to state, “It is true that she was looking at her phone during that scene.” They continued, “However, this was because at the time, the person she was meant to call for the ‘Sudden Phone Speed Quiz’ corner was not picking up. She was asked to find a new contact which was why she took out her mobile phone.”
The representative concluded with, “We are extremely sorry for making viewers feel uncomfortable, regardless of the situation.”

Moon Geun Young’s acting still shines in “Mary” despite poor ratings
KBS drama “Mary Stayed Out All Night” is maintaining one digit viewers ratings and cannot seem to raise it. However, the actors are working as hard as ever.
According to AGB Nielson Media Research, November 29th’s episode of “Mary Stayed Out All Night” had a poor national rating of 6.6%.
Despite this, Moon Geun Young is showing her willpower by focusing on her acting, as photos of Moon filming in the rain on November 27th were recently revealed.
In the film stills, Moon is running in the rain without an umbrella while talking to someone on the phone. In another still, Moon is avoiding the rain in front of Jang Geun Suk’s house.
On this day’s filming, Moon received applause and cheers from the staff for delivering perfectly even in the sub-zero temperature rainy weather.
One staff member said, “The temperature suddenly dropped below zero, and we had a rain scene planned in our rigorous schedule. We were worried that Moon Geun Young would catch a cold or something, but seeing the effort she put in for a perfect scene showed that she truly is an actress sent from heaven.”
The staff continued complimenting, saying, “Her small body is always brimming with energy and enthusiasm. It’s touching.“
Moon stated after filming, “The temperature suddenly dropped, so the weather was very cold. A water sprinkling truck sprayed water, so the staff on the scene also suffered immensely from the cold. I get strength because I’m not the only one suffering; both staff and actors work together and encourage each other when we film.“

Chinese fans caught stealing social security numbers to vote for idol groups online
It has come to the attention of Korean netizens that some Chinese fans may be stealing the social security numbers of ordinary Korean citizens in order to vote online for their favorite idol groups in this year’s ‘Melon Music Awards.‘
These netizens recently took screencaps of posts on the Chinese music community site ‘Baidu‘, which contained information and tutorials on how to vote for singers for the ‘Melon Music Awards’, as well as for Korean music programs like ‘Inkigayo.‘ Shockingly, the methods they provided involved illegally using Social Security Numbers of Korean citizens. On top of that, overseas fans have also been using the social security numbers to download music on Korean music sites and buy mobile phone ringtones.
Netizens also noticed that from Super Junior’s voting statistics for the ‘Melon Music Awards’, 57% of the 28,720 votes for the group were from citizens over 40 years of age, which is an extremely unusual occurence, considering how group is mostly popular amongst fans in their teens and 20’s. Voting statistics for the remaining three groups in the top 4 for the ‘online voting’ category - SNSD, SHINee and Jo Kwon & Ga-In - also have 16-19% of the voters being over 40 years of age.
Posts on the Baidu community site also exhibit users posting screencaps of pop-up windows that appear when they tried to use the stolen social security numbers, asking other users what it meant. The pop-up box was in fact a message from the Identity Theft Prevention Service stating that the social security has been blocked due to suspicions of identity theft.
According to the Population Registration Act Article 37, illegally stealing a social security number is a criminal act that carries a penalty of 3 years of imprisonment and a $8,700 USD fine.

Trailer for “The Last Godfather” ft Wonder Girls cameo released
Way back in May this year, it was announced that the Wonder Girls would be making a cameo in the upcoming movie The Last Godfather (The Dumb Mafia, 라스트 갓파더). Fast forward a few months into the post-production stage and the official trailer for this film has been released!
Directed by Shim Hyung Rae (the comedian-turned-filmmaker behind the 1999 Yonggary remake and D-War in 2007, the most expensive movie in Korean history) and written by Shim and revised by Joel Cohen (an Oscar-nominated film writer who worked on the original Toy Story, Cheaper by the Dozen and Evan Almighty), The Last Godfather is a collaborative effort of a team from both Korea and the United States that was filmed in Los Angeles this spring.
A comedic remake of the 1972 original The Godfather by Francis Ford Coppola, Shim Hyung Rae himself stars as Yonggu, the mentally impaired son of a mafia boss of New York’s biggest gang. The plot details are yet unclear, but with a Korean starring in an slapstick comedy set in the 50’s, The Last Godfather presents an intriguing set of dynamics that Hollywood does not normally see.
According to a Star News interview with a CJ Entertainment representative, the Wonder Girls had been contacted by Shim’s team for the special cameo appearance because the quintet’s retro concept for Nobody matched the 1950’s setting of the movie so well. This film’s US release in 2011 will serve as an extra push for the Girls who are currently promoting in the States.
Check out the trailer yourself below; the Wonder Girls make a brief appearance at 1:05!
Thus far, the reaction on the official trailer has been generally positive. “Shim is giving all [he's] got,” one viewer expressed on Youtube. ”I admire his courage. He had this dream that he would make movies in Hollywood someday since he was very young. We should support him and [not] be embarrassed. If it’s not funny so what? At least he tried.” Another user commented, “I have high expectations now, Shim fits gag comedy well. This looks like it’ll be better than [Shim's last film] D-War.”
Aside from Shim Hyung Rae and the Wonder Girls, the cast list also features Harvey Keitel (Pulp Fiction, Thelma and Louise, The Piano, Life on Mars), Blake Clark (50 First Dates, Toy Story 3, The Waterboy, The Mask) and Jason Mewes (Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Clerks I and II).
